IEA Foundation takes part in the Webinar on solutions to reduce the impact of future floods

Several aspects have been debated in the Panel of Experts and as well as various measures were offered to reinforce the safety of people against possible torrential rains and to prevent future floods in the Region of Murcia. A Panel of Experts constituted in September of 2019 as a specific figure to monitor the actions necessary to repair the damage caused by DANA, and of which the IEA Foundation is a member.
Among the measures offered by the experts, in addition to the possible general solutions proposed to improve flood risk management from a technical perspective and regardless of what administration is responsible for developing the suggested solutions, some other solutions have also been proposed to curb the speed of the water, channel it and promote its filtration, as general objectives of this Webinar.
