IEA Foundation collaborates with the Union for the Mediterranean.
On April 14 the Euro Mediterranean Water Institute Foundation received the Deputy General Secretary and head of Water for the Mediterranean Union (UPM), Rafiq Husseini, to discuss the proposals on local water management in the Mediterranean.
Rafiq Husseini is one of the organizers of both Mediterranean Water Forum to be held later this year in Marrakesh (Morocco), and the World Water Forum to be held in 2012 in Marseille (France). This person in charge praised the work done in the Region of Murcia for the use of water resources and said that many Mediterranean regions that also suffer the problem of water scarcity are interested in exporting the model of Murcia.
