Seminar Current problems of Water Law and Management in Spain: river basin unity and planning.
Euro-mediterranean Water Institute has recently contributed to the organisation of the seminar “Current problems of Water Law and Management in Spain: river basin unity and planning”, which was held at the University of La Rioja, last 21-22 June.
It has been analysed the current situation of Water Law in Spain, emphasizing the lack of present regulation to address real problems, especially floods and drought. It was also discussed the unsatisfactory situation of groundwater system of concessions. On the part of the IEA, our Director spoke with the lecture "Reserve of water planning and exceptions. The objectives of planning (meeting demands, objectives, quality). Management systems. National Hydrological Plan” which dealt with the main issues in planing water resources.
