The Site-Visit meeting is organised in Latvia by the Baltic Coasts

The site visit aimed to familiarize the participants regarding water reuse practices and water treatment. Also, to transfer experience on water reuse implementation and monitoring in two selected good practices of Latvia. These two good practices were:

1) Surface flow constructed wetland for nutrient retention from the agricultural catchment.

2) Rainwater reuse for service vehicle car wash.

Originally site-visit was planned as physical event, but it has been agreed with the lead partner on the organization of the site visit in online regime, instead of the physical. Also, this decision was made according to Joint Secretariat of program Interreg Europe recommendations in line with current situation with COVID 19. So, converting site-visit from physical event to online event was not just the safest way to organize the meeting, but also it opened possibility for all partners to participate in the meeting.

The good practices that were shown in the site visit meeting were based on the interest of partners based on final report A3.3 Site visits Exchange to match make desired water reuse initiatives with appropriate technologies and business models developed by partner project AQUARES Murcia. On basis of final report A3.3 the following partners had shown interest: GDW, SSW, RRAPK and TREBNJE. As the site-visit was online event, also F-IEA, LODZKIE and OOWV partners with their stakeholders participated in the meeting.
